Larsson & Jennings's First Mechanical fake watch Collections (Live Pics & Pricing)

Hot on the heels of all the Baselworld releases is something a bit different that comes from an unexpected brand ?Larsson & Jennings. You may be familiar with Larsson & Jennings, a British company, for its Swiss-made quartz watches, but the brand has some big news ?it's dropping the very first mechanical wristwatches in all three of its collections, the Lugano, Norse, and Saxon, all at once.

The Norse Mechanical in PVD-coated steel.

Larsson & Jennings was founded in 2012 by Andrew Jennings and Joakim Larsson (whose share was bought by Jennings in 2014), and it was inspired by a fake watch the founders saw in GQ. Much like Uniform Wares and Farer, the replica watches are all designed in-house and produced in Switzerland, with the movements being made by ETA. Larsson & Jennings takes inspiration from minimal Swedish design, as you can see in the clean and streamlined dials. There are three major collections, the Lugano, the Saxon, and the Norse, and all three collections come in a variety of finishes, including plain stainless steel, rose gold-plated, yellow gold-plated, and black PVD-coated. The sizes range from 26mm to 40mm with mesh bracelets and leather straps available too.

The Lugano is a round classic calatrava-style fake watch that comes in 26mm, 33mm, 38mm, and 40mm in steel, rose gold-plated, yellow gold-plated, or PVD-coated steel. Additionally, there are four dial colors available, including black, white, gold, and navy. The Norse is a rectangular fake watch that is available in the same metals as the Lugano, but there are only two sizes ?27mm x 34mm and 29mm x 40mm. The Saxon is similar to the Lugano, but with a more rounded case design.

The cases and colors are still the same for the Norse and Lugano collections, however, Larsson & Jennings has introduced its first ever mechanical movements. The new movement used is an ETA 7001-2 manually-wound movement, which is the same movement used in some Bell & Ross pieces, such as the WW1 Argentium. Additionally, the Saxon will be available with an automatic movement, the ETA 2892-A2, which is used by Baume and Mercier, Hamilton, and Longines to name a few. These new movements will be available in a 39mm Saxon Automatic, a 40mm Lugano Mechanical, and a 31mm x 42mm Norse Mechanical. Each comes in steel or rose gold-plated steel with white dial, as well as yellow gold-plated steel or PVD-coated steel with black dial.

We spoke to Andrews Jennings about why he wanted to push the company in this direction. "We aspire to bridge the gap between quartz fashion and mechanical luxury, by broadening the range of well made, affordable watches," said Jennings. "We have introduced new technical and decorative elements which will not only appeal to horology enthusiasts but also those with a keen eye for design."

It is an interesting move, and one that a lot of similar brands are making. The desire to create affordable mechanical replica watches is stronger than ever and Larsson & Jennings is no exception. The Lugano and Norse Mechanical models will retail for £1,195 (approximately $1,495 at time of publishing) and the Saxon Automatic will retail for £995 (approximately $1,245).
